In March 2025, history was made as the full Bible was launched in the Chhattisgarhi language — the first time nearly 33 million people in central India could access the entirety of God’s Word in the language they speak, think, and pray in every day.

Forty pastors representing 25,000 believers attended the distribution celebration. But as the Bibles were handed out, the event paused. Everyone opened their new Bibles, finding the Book of Psalms. In a magnificent chorus, verses were read aloud as smiles shone and joy overflowed.

One woman who helped review the Chhattisgarhi translation said, “We will get to learn more of God in our language and will be able to tell people in their own language.”
